The Irish Support Agency Celebrates 30 Years

On Tuesday 27th May, we proudly celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Irish Support Agency at the NSW Parliament, with special thanks to Dr Marjorie O'Neill, MP for Coogee, for kindly hosting the event.

We gathered not just to reflect on the journey of an organisation, but to honour a vision—one that has, for three decades, brought dignity, care and community to Irish people in Australia.

We were especially privileged to welcome Frank and Anne O'Donoghue, the founders of the Irish Support Agency in 1995, along with former Presidents, Committee Members, Volunteers, and long-time supporters who have all played a part in our story.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special—particularly Dr Anne Casey, whose heartfelt words stirred a deep sense of longing for home, and McMolly, whose beautiful music evoked cherished memories. Marking such milestones not only honours our past but strengthens our legacy and helps shape the memories of tomorrow.

A special thank you to the Consulate of Ireland, Sydney, whose generous support made this event possible.
