How to SUPPORT the Irish Support Agency

It’s easy to give back to your community and join our growing list of outstanding companies that support us each year.

In addition to supporting those who haven’t been so fortunate here in NSW, it’s a great opportunity to promote your products or services to the Irish Australian network, generate a positive public image and demonstrate commitment to the Irish Australian community.

Event SPONSOR

Each year the Irish Support Agency organise a colourful calendar of fundraising and outreach events. As well as raising much needed funds, these events are an opportunity to socialise and network with members of the wider Irish Australian community and promote your brand.

Please get in touch if you would like to be involved in supporting our events by emailing Una at project@irishsupportagency.org.au.

Cause specific sUpport

The ISA has a number of key programs that can be directly invested in.

These programs have become an integral part of the Irish Australian community of NSW and without further funding, these programs are at risk of being significantly reduced or eroded.

SOLAS

SOLAS is a mental health support service developed by the Irish Support Agency (ISA) to facilitate access to essential Mental Health supports for the most vulnerable in the Irish community here in NSW. Introduced at the height of the COVID restrictions here in NSW, on the back of seed funding from The Light Ball, Sydney, the demand has grown significantly from 1-2 clients presenting per week to 3-4 each and every week.

The high level of uptake, coupled with the extremely positive clinical results and qualitative feedback from participants, validates the strong need for this type of service.

The ISA now fully fund this service independently.

To date, 135 people have benefited from at least one session with a SOLAS practitioner. The average improvement in clinical scores for depression, anxiety and stress is a massive 58.5% from when they first engaged with the service.

The cost of running the SOLAS service over the last year has exceeded $66,500 factoring in both the session payments and the administration of the service, and we estimate an increase to $80,000 in the coming year due to increased participation. The ISA does not have the capacity to continue funding this service alone and we are seeking organisations and persons to donate to ensure its continuation.
