MIND Your Step

autumn / winter schedule

The colder months can be a challenging time of year to get out and walk but it is still important to look after our physical and mental health.  We have therefore decided to hold a monthly MIND your step walk every third Saturday of the month starting May 20th.

After each monthly walk, there will be nibbles provided and we will have conversations on health and wellbeing so that we can be empowered to make positive life choices. 

Add these important dates to your diary:
May 20 - Model Boat Pond, Centennial Park at 9am.
June 17 - TBC
July 15 - TBC
August 19 - TBC
September 16 - TBC
October 21 -TBC

What is mind your step?

Social Walking Group

Our new  walking group "MIND Your Step" launched on Saturday 25 February 2017 at Centennial Park. Joining MIND Your Step is a simple way to meet other Irish people in Sydney while boosting your physical and mental health. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!.

Why Walk?

Outdoor walking groups are enjoyable and have numerous health benefits – psychological and physical. Here are our favourites:

  • Enhances  mental health and wellbeing.
  • A great way to meet other people in your area.
  • Helps build support networks.
  • Helps maintain a healthy weight.
  • Reduces risks of coronary heart disease and strokes, diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers.
